Abstract: THE ROLE OF LOGISTICS IN SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN PRACTICES
This study aims to explore the role of logistics in sustainable supply chain practices, focusing on its impact on environmental performance, cost savings, and corporate social responsibility (CSR). A survey design is selected for its ability to gather data from a broad range of participants. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 300 respondents is determined to ensure statistical significance. The case study is conducted in Lagos, focusing on a logistics company committed to sustainability. The reliability coefficient score of 0.85 indicates high reliability. Findings suggest that sustainable logistics practices significantly enhance environmental performance, reduce costs, and strengthen CSR. Recommendations include investing in sustainable logistics solutions and continuously monitoring their impact on supply chain practices.
